Especially in measuring tasks the regions of interest (ROIs), i.e., the lines of measurement, must be positioned precisely. If the position and orientation of parts to be inspected are allowed to vary, the ROIs must be moved with the parts. For this, the current position and orientation of the parts must be determined robustly and precisely.
