ActivVisionTools from MVTec Software GmbH
Highlights of Version 3.0

- Main highlights of version 3.0

In short: The new tool ActivOCR and the support for acquiring
images from multiple cameras and frame grabbers.

- New: Innovative, easy-to-use OCR
Build fast and reliable OCR applications in a few simple steps: segmentation, training, and recognition - all controlled by parametrization, easy to handle even for users with only a basic understanding of image processing.
ActivOCR already includes many ready-to-use fonts with a practical industrial background, such as dot matrix prints, prints on metal surfaces, pharmacy or document fonts. You don't have to train these characters, you can start their recognition "out-of-the-box".
Innovative machine vision methods like a specifically trained neural network classifier ensure extremely robust and reliable recognition results - even under difficult conditions, e.g., when reading dot prints on metal surfaces or slanted characters. More ...

- New: Access multiple cameras and grabbers simultaneously

ActivVisionTools 3.0 instantly processes images from multiple cameras and frame grabbers. Using this feature is quite easy: You can simply open multiple instances of the acquisition tool ActivView, which link the cameras to the various image processing tools like ActivMeasure, ActivBlobFinder, ActivBarcode, or ActivOCR. Needless to say that this works for all supported frame grabbers as well as for DirectShow and IEEE 1394 capture devices in arbitrary combination. View list of supported acquisition devices ...

- Further languages supported

Beside (US) English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish, the ActivVisionTools user interface now also supports (Traditional) Chinese, and Turkish. More ...

- Further improvements
